Trainings/Portfolio
Each year, doctoral students are responsible for defining an Individual Training Plan in agreement with their thesis director, before submitting it to the doctoral school's management. Other training courses offered by the DFC (Training and Careers Department) are designed to clarify and prepare post-doctoral career plans.
Doctoral students must attend at least 20 seminars a year. The doctoral school also encourages supervisors to lead by example. A minimum of 70 credits of cross-disciplinary training are required over the three (four) years, with one hour of training counting as 1 credit, and a maximum of 15 credits for more than 15 hours.
In addition, doctoral students must take at least 15 hours of training in research ethics and scientific integrity over the three-year period. The doctoral school strongly recommends taking the MOOC offered by the University of Bordeaux.
The doctoral school encourages participation in international or national conference(s) and presentation of a paper (or poster).
The doctoral school also encourages :
- any awareness of open science, in particular by taking the online course on open science organized by SU. For this course, you need to register on both FUNMOOC and ADUM.
- to sustainable development and to carry out their own self-assessment of professional doctoral skills (Référentiel du répertoire national des certifications professionnelles - RNCP).
In accordance with article 15 of the decree of May 25, 2016, "a doctoral student portfolio comprising an individualized list of all the doctoral student's activities during their training, including teaching, dissemination of scientific culture or technology transfer, and highlighting the skills they have developed during the preparation of the doctorate, is produced. It is regularly updated by the doctoral student.
Registration for DFC training courses is made via the ADUM platform as soon as administrative registration has been completed.
