Process

You must follow the following steps:

 

Eligibility

Anyone holding a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification, or currently in the process of obtaining one, is eligible to apply.

Application process

You must follow the following steps: 

  • Create your ADUM account in order to apply
  • Choose one or several thesis topic(s)

Documents to be submitted on ADUM :

  • A very detailed CV highlighting your strengths
  • Transcripts from Master’s year 1 (M1 – semesters 1 and 2) and year 2 (M2 – semester 3), and/or transcripts from engineering school years
  • Your most recent diplomas
  • One or two letters of recommendation, including at least one from the supervisor of your Master’s internship (M1 and, if possible, M2) or engineering school internship
  • A cover letter (explaining your motivation for pursuing a PhD and your interest in the chosen thesis topic)

To complete your application, you must upload the documents listed above to ADUM in a single PDF file.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETE IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED VALID

It is essential to submit an application regardless of the thesis topics you intend to apply for. The doctoral school board will meet to establish the list of eligible candidates, who will be notified by email.

Preselected candidates must then contact the project supervisors of their chosen topics with priority themes (if they have not already done so). Each laboratory will interview the candidates who have applied and will submit its ranking to the doctoral school board, which will establish the final list of selected candidates, as well as a waiting list.

Once admitted to the Doctoral School, you will need to complete your academic and administrative registration on ADUM.
